It is a new and powerful combination when direct sales / MLM meets E-commerce and online marketing. As for me, I have been running every type of business online for the last 15 years. Not always with the consent of the company I worked with, but someone needs to take the lead.

The reason why so many people love direct sales and MLM as a business is the low investment and the high earning possibilities. I have been asking myself for many years why other top MLM companies have not adopted eCommerce methods in their MLM business plan. It is such a logical and obvious partnership.
It is clear from my experience that many of the top MLM companies are not happy with the shift toward online marketing. Many argue that the internet takes away the fundamental concept of MLM. They often see that sharing their products and opportunity with family and friends is the only method.
In addition, they believe that the online methods are in conflict with MLM because it is asking the distributor to have a wider skill set. However, the MLM elite are forgetting one important thing....
.....you cannot uninvent the wheel or the internet. They are both here to stay.
Just consider for a minute the in the US eCommerce and online marketing sales in 2019 was $602 Billion. In addition, it is estimated that there will be over 2.05 Billion global buyers online in 2020, That is a market that the home business owner can not and should not ignore.
Fortunately, most of the new MLM companies see the advantage and understand that internet skills are vastly improved since MLM began.

The new MLM hybrid model for direct sales is here to stay. As I have mentioned in my earlier articles, "The internet is simply a virtual extension of the physical world". This means that the old MLM mantra of speaking to everyone within a arms length is obsolete. Since the corona virus era of 2020 even dangerous.
Fortunately, the hybrid model of sharing products and opportunities has arrived at a perfect time. Statistics show us that 81 percent of consumers trust the advice of friends and family over businesses. This mean simply sharing information via social media or on other online platforms is going to be the new world order of MLM. People will need to learn new skills and mentor teams in different ways. This is how life has developed for a millennium in one way or another.
In the past, we ran our meetings at hotels and business centers, but now we run them online via Zoom or Facebook live. In the past we would do follow ups on the telephone and only locally, but now we can speak to people globally on WhatsApp. The world has changed and the network marketer has to change with it.
